An open-source work log service that records and visualizes the work of both people and AI agents, developed and released as our own product.
Overview
Spantail visualizes quick manual entry by people alongside automatic capture from AI agents on a single unified timeline. It automatically measures agent sessions and token usage, and auto-generates custom reports with Markdown + Liquid templates under any filter. A Claude Code plugin, a GitHub App, and a CLI / MCP provide integration paths for both people and agents.
It runs entirely on Cloudflare Workers / D1, and its "one deployment = one company" self-hosted design means work data is never sent externally. The Community edition is released as open source under the MIT license, with an Enterprise edition — adding SSO / SAML, audit logs, and cross-organization analytics — planned.
